Earthquake Preparedness
The Map Collection staff has a new display featuring Earthquake Preparedness with tips and suggestions about being ready when an earthquake occurs. Many helpful and informative tips can be found in the pamphlet "Putting Down Roots in Earthquake Country" which is published by the Southern California Earthquake Center, and can be found online (http://www.earthquakecountry.info/roots/).
The Map Collection has a hard copy of the pamphlet, maps showing fault lines and past earthquakes, and information on earthquake predictions. The exhibit designed by Map Collection staff, is located on the Ground Floor of the Science Library, and will be available until November 2004.
