Group Study Room Policy
Group Study Room Policy
Group Study Rooms are designed to provide a space for groups to work on collaborative projects and course-related work during Library hours. Rooms on the 3rd floor of the Orbach Science Library and fourteen designated rooms in the Rivera Library may be booked in advance. All other group study rooms are "open" and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Open rooms cannot be reserved. UCR groups take precendence over individuals. At the request of a Library Staff member, you are required to show your UCR photo I.D. card.
- One person may not "HOLD" an open room for others, and may be asked to leave by a group wishing to use a room.
- If other groups are waiting for an open room, time in the room is limited to 2 hours per group.
- Do not move furniture in or out of the room.
- Use only dry erase markers on the whiteboard (available at the Circulation/Reserves Desk)
- Maximum number of patrons per room is 6; a few of the rooms are larger and can accommodate up to 8.
Attention
Do NOT leave unattended items in the room!
