San Francisco Water Supply: Sources of Information
Overview
The Water Supply of San Francisco - Sources of Information seeks to enhance the discovery and research of materials (all media) defining the historical and contemporary body of knowledge pertaining to the water supply of San Francisco. Discrete and disparate collections will be identified, assessed, and defined with the intention of providing enhanced intellectual access to materials that are often overlooked and difficult to locate and access.
The compiled data is summarized in an annotated directory of archives and collections that own materials related to the water supply of San Francisco. A chief goal of the directory is to identify less visible institutions and community groups, large and small. It is intended not only to provide a key to specific archives and collections, but also to serve as a map for locating people, places, and documentation on this unique history.
