Large manuscript collections include the James Rolph Papers, 1911-1930; William W. Helbush papers, 1916-1947; and the John W. Dwinelle papers, 1825-1936. Other sources of interest include maps of San Francisco, scrapbooks on the San Francisco water supply, books and government publications.
