Reference Services
The WRCA welcomes reference questions regarding our materials and gladly provides research assistance to our patrons. Reference assistance for WRCA-related questions can be accessed online, by appointment, or by requesting assistance at the Orbach Science Library Reference Desk.
Circulation Policies
WRCA's circulating collection is available for checkout by UCR faculty, staff and students. Members of the community seeking to checkout circulating materials may join the Friends of the UCR Library and receive a library card. The cost of membership is $45. Loan rules for circulating materials vary depending on the type of material. The circulating stacks are located on the Main Floor of the Orbach Science Library, near the Reference Desk.
WRCA has a large amount of material that does not circulate because it is archival or was published prior to 1970. These materials must be paged by WRCA staff and viewed onsite.
Interlibrary Loan, Document Delivery and the Water Districts List
ILL and reproduction request services are available. All requests for photocopying and photo duplication are subject to WRCA guidelines, WRCA duplication fees and U.S. Copyright law. If you wish to make a request online, please use our duplication request form.
California Water Districts List
The WRCA provides a spreadsheet of over 600 California water and irrigation districts, including mailing addresses and contact information. The price for the basic list is $50.00 and $75.00 for the expanded list (including information on types of water meters used). Prepayment is required for either list.
