Version Control is the way to track revisions of a document, dataset, or process. This workshop will present options available to track and recover changes to different types of files, and provide hands-on experience to version control using Git. After this workshop, attendees will be able to identify the best type of version control for files in their project; and, using Git, create a repository, make and track versions of the files, and use GitHub to remotely store the repository.
Attendees should bring a laptop with their favorite text editor installed, and Git enabled.
