We offer tours and orientations to UCR Library!

Guided tours of the library may be available to groups, by appointment only. Guided walking tours for small groups last 30-45 minutes and may include Tòmas Rivera Library and Orbach Science Library, though a request can be made to tour the Music Library as well. Tours do not include any instruction or hands-on demonstration but just give an overall view of the library's features, collections, and initiatives. Special Collections & University Archives tours are generally only for donors, other professionals, and library school students. For a hands-on introduction to special collections, request an instruction session (even if you are not a traditional class).

Orientations provide an introduction to using the library's on-site and online resources.   Orientations may be tailored for the person or group, and may include simple hands-on demonstrations. Instructors wanting a in-depth library orientation for their course should request a library instruction session.

Please schedule your visit at least two weeks in advance to allow us to prepare. A group leader must be present. Please notify us of any special accessibility needs when you schedule so that we may accommodate you.
