Connecting from Off Campus

There are many ways to connect to the library, but the best one for serious research is the GlobalProtect VPN client.

You will install an application onto your computer that will allow you to conduct research as if you were on campus.

Download and Install: Visit the ITS Virtual Private Networking (VPN) - GlobalProtect Connection Installation Instructions page

Connect:

  1. Find the application on your computer and start it up
    GlobalProtect Icon
  2. URL: campusvpn.ucr.edu
     URL image campusvpn.ucr.edu
  3. Sign in: NetID and password

  4. Verify your identity using Multi-factor Authentication (MFA)

  5. Open any browser and use Library resources as you would on campus.

You will stay connected until you disconnect or until the server restarts.

Pin the GlobalProtect application somewhere easy to get to.
