Michele Potter

Engineering Librarian

Department: Research and Instruction (Orbach Science Library)

Michele’s key responsibility is providing outreach and support to the Bourns School of Engineering.  As a librarian, she provides research services to library users in person, online, and through course-related instruction sessions and workshops. She holds a B.A. from the University of Oregon, an M.L.S. from the University of Washington, and an M.A. in educational psychology from the University of California, Riverside. Michele joined the library in 1996.

As the subject specialist for bioengineering, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, materials science, and mechanical engineering, she develops collections in these areas. She first became involved with engineering as a librarian for AT&T.
