Electronic Resource Use Policy
Many of the electronic resources available through the UCR Library are governed by license agreements which restrict use to UCR students, faculty, staff, and users who access material from workstations located on campus.
It is the responsibility of users to ensure that these resources are used for personal and/or educational non-commercial purposes without systematically downloading, distributing, printing or retaining substantial portions of the information. Examples of prohibited uses include, but are not limited to, such actions as downloading or printing entire journal issues, electronically transmitting online content to mailing lists or electronic bulletin boards, and systematic downloading of content through use of a bot, crawler, AI, or other automated means. Restrictions vary from resource to resource.
Breaches of the University's contractual arrangements with resource providers could result in the suspension of access to the resources for the entire UC community.
For additional information on appropriate use of campus computer systems access, use and security, see UCR Policy for Access to University Information Systems.
