About the UCR Libraries
The University of California, Riverside Libraries serves as the information commons and intellectual center within the University. The Libraries is a member of the Association of Research Libraries (ARL). The Library System is currently comprised of 4 libraries: the main library, Tomás Rivera, (serving the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, the School of Education, and the Graduate School of Management); the Raymond L. Orbach Science Library (serving primarily the College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences and the College of Engineering, and the Division of Biomedical Sciences); the Music Library and the Multimedia Library. The Libraries' collections include 3.3 million volumes, 97,000 serial titles, including access to over 94,000 electronic journals and more than 2,300,000 microformats. Among the unique collections of the UCR Libraries are the world class Eaton Collection of Science Fiction and Fantasy; the Tuskegee Airmen Archive; the Ezra Pound Collection; the Paraguay Collection; the Rupert Costo Library of the American Indian; the Paul Chou Collection of Chinese history and culture; the Southeast Asia Collection; and the Water Resources Collections and Archives.
