Acquisitions, Description, and Discovery
The Acquisitions, Description, and Discovery (ADD) Department manages library resources from purchase to user access. After resources have been selected for purchase, ADD orders and receives them and processes the invoices. Then ADD ensures that those resources are discoverable in UCR Library Search by creating standards-based descriptions and optimizing discovery functionality. ADD also creates standards-based descriptions for UCR Library digitized resources that appear in Omeka and Calisphere.
