African American Life & Culture
Located in: Tomás Rivera Library, Orbach Science Library
The UCR Library provides an extensive collection of resources, in both print and electronic formats, to support the interdisciplinary work of the African American Studies program.
Collections reflect the program's interests in history, literature, sociology and psychology, and its broad geographical scope, focusing on people of African descent in North America, the Caribbean, and South & Central America.
Inquiry into social justice issues, including slavery, colonialism, segregation, economic justice and the struggle for civil and human rights, is also supported by the Library's collections.
