The UCR Library collects extensively in the area of higher education administration and policy to support the Graduate School of Education and the School of Public Administration and Policy.

The collection includes foundational journals as Higher Education: Handbook of Theory and Practice, Higher Education Policy, and The Chronicle of Higher Education. Book collections ranges from classic titles such as The Higher Learning in America: a Memorandum on the Conduct of Universities by Business Men to significant recent works such as Minding the Dream: the Process and Practice of the American Community College.

Undergirding the entire collection is Higher Education Abstracts, the only U.S. abstracting service focused exclusively on higher education, widely considered to be the leading research tool in the field.
