The primary aim of the medical education collection is to support the educational and research needs of the faculty, students, and staff of the UCR School of Medicine, whose inaugural class entered in 2013.

The library focuses on collecting electronic journals, databases, clinical decision aids, and books that provide the tools to support a modern community-based medical education program. Clinical collections focus on curriculum-driven core topics and specialty areas that are developing alongside the curriculum. Medical education threads are also collected in such areas as medical ethics, cultural competency, and medical humanities.
