Group Study Rooms
Reservable Rooms
71 group study rooms are available on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Tomás Rivera and Orbach Science Libraries which are open to UCR students, staff, and faculty for group study and collaboration.
All group study rooms come equipped with:
- Table and chairs
- White board
- TV screen which can be connected to via HDMI
Dry erase markers, HDMI cables, and other equipment may be checked out with an R’Card at the Circulation/Reserve Desk.

Study Room Guidelines
- Rooms may be reserved by current UC Riverside students, staff and faculty.
- Rooms are intended for groups of 2 or more only; Individuals may need to vacate to accommodate groups and/or find another study space if necessary.
- Groups with reservations have priority use, but the room is also available on a first-come, first-served basis. You will be asked to move if the room is reserved.
- Rooms can be reserved once per day for up to 3 hours.
- Reservations can be made up to 14 days in advance.
- Reservations are honored for the first 15 minutes of the reservation period, after which they are forfeited and the room becomes available as first-come, first-served.
- Library staff reserve the right to cancel reservations due to unforeseen circumstances.
- Do not leave personal belongings unattended.
- Contact library staff at the Circulation/Reserves Desk if you need assistance.
How to Reserve
- Reserve a group study room online using your UCR NetID login, or by scanning the QR code displayed outside the room.
- Once your reservation is complete, you will receive a confirmation notification at your ucr.edu email address.
- Keep your reservation confirmation accessible while using the group study room during your reserved time.
