Multimedia Viewing & Gaming Rooms
Reservable Rooms
2 multimedia viewing and 2 gaming rooms are available on the 2nd floor of the Tomás Rivera Library and are open for UCR students, staff, and faculty studying film, media and games.
Multimedia viewing rooms are equipped with:
- Chairs
- TV Screen
- DVD, BluRay, and VHS player
Gaming rooms are equipped with:
- Chairs
- TV Screen
- Gaming consoles
Multimedia Viewing and Gaming rooms remain locked and require a reservation for use.
Multimedia & Gaming Guidelines
Room Guidelines
- Multimedia Viewing and Gaming Rooms are intended to support students studying film, media and games and are not for group or individual study.
- Rooms may be reserved by current UC Riverside students, staff and faculty.
- Room keys and peripherals (i.e. remotes, controllers, etc.) may be checked out from the Circulation/Reserves Desk with your R’Card within 15 minutes of your reservation time.
- Rooms can be reserved once per day for up to 3 hours.
- Reservations can be made up to 14 days in advance.
- Reservations are honored for the first 15 minutes of the reservation period, after which they are forfeited and the room becomes available as first-come, first-served.
- Library staff reserve the right to cancel reservations due to unforeseen circumstances.
- Do not leave personal belongings unattended.
- Contact library staff at the Circulation/Reserves Desk if you need assistance.
How to Reserve
- Reserve a Multimedia Viewing or Gaming room online using your UCR NetID login or by scanning the QR code displayed outside the room.
- Once your reservation is complete, you will receive a confirmation notification at your ucr.edu email address.
- Bring your reservation confirmation along with your R’Card to the Rivera Library Circulation/Reserve Desk to check out the room key and multimedia viewing or gaming peripherals (i.e. controllers, TV remotes) within 15 minutes of your reservation period.
