GrAdvantage

GrAdvantage is a collaborative space shared by the Teaching and Learning Librarians and the Teaching Assistant Development Program (TADP) from GradSuccess. Located on the first floor of the Rivera Library, this space is specifically designed to provide high-level support, programming, and resources for UCR graduate students.

The facility features:

An Open Area with flexible furniture for workshops and events.
A dedicated Conference Room.
Offices for TADP Specialists, the UTC Coordinator, and Teaching and Learning Librarians.

Offerings

Priority for the space is given to Library and TADP programming. GrAdvantage hosts graduate-centered activities focused on professional development, teaching and learning, and academic support, including:

Writing groups and brown bag sessions.
Drop-in hours and appointments with peer consultants.
Specialized workshops and activities.

Use Guidelines

To maintain the integrity of our programming and support services, please adhere to the following guidelines:

Purpose: This space is intended for graduate-centered academic and professional activities. It is not intended as a general lounge. For extended individual quiet study, please utilize the 2nd-floor Graduate Study Wing.
Hours: All events must align with Library operating hours from Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm. Social events are permitted only outside regular business hours with prior approval.
Non-Alcohol Policy: Please note that alcohol is strictly prohibited at all times.
Maintain a Clean Space: Keep the environment welcoming by cleaning up food and beverages after events.
Furniture Use: Patrons are recommended to use existing flexible furniture. Outside furniture requires prior Library approval.

Reservations & Access

The Open Suite Space and Conference Room are available for workshops and graduate programming.

How to Book: Reservations must be made via the shared GrAdvantage Google Form. Please specify "Suite Conference Room" or " Open Suite Space with Tables” in the form.
