Within the context of science fiction, first contact can be thought of as an event in which two intelligent species encounter each other for the first time. This exhibit will explore some of the forms first contact stories can take and what messages they may have for us here on Earth.

The University of California, Riverside Library will host a poster exhibit in celebration of GIS Day and Geography Awareness Week beginning on Thursday, November 3, 2016. The exhibit will remain on display in the atrium of Orbach Science Library until Tuesday, November 22.
