The exhibit uses written reflections and art to explore two questions
What wounds has the border inflicted on us as members of immigration-impacted communities?
How does (im)mobility across borders impact our identities and feelings of home?
As people impacted by immigration policy, we traveled to Mexico for the first time in a long time to heal and (re)build our connections to our country of origin. This exhibit documents our journeys in an attempt to empower ourselves and our communities. You can learn more about this project here.
The UCR community is also welcome to join us on Thursday, October 9 for a workshop. Light refreshments will be served. RSVP using this Google Form. View an exhibit/workshop flyer below.
