How Do I Find - Government Information

The UCR Library serves as a Federal Depository, holding local, state of California and United States federal government information.

Physical materials are located on the first floor of Rivera Library.

UC Library Search has records for materials from 1976 onward. You can search by keyword, title, or author. Ask a librarian for help finding pre-1976 documents in Rivera Library's reference section.  They are indexed in paper resources such as the Monthly Catalog of United States Government Publications.

Many recent documents (1995- ) are available through the Federal Digital System (FDsys).    Government agencies also often post documents online themselves, so check their websites. You can also check out our related databases.
