UCR Library provides access to many local, regional, national, and international newspapers both current and historical. 

Newspapers are can be available in print, microform, digital microfilm or online.  Microform readers are available to read, scan and save digital versions of articles on microform. 

Many digital newspapers available are restricted to UCR students, faculty, and staff or available from the many publicly accessible computers within the campus libraries. Search UC Library Search for specific titles.

Search Tips:

• Use a newspaper index to identify the date, section, part, page(s), etc. of articles.
• Newspapers often change titles over the years.  Check the catalog records for “Other Titles” or “Continued By”
• Many historical newspapers have been digitized as collections available through the library, such as the America's Historical Newspapers, 1690-1876, ProQuest Historical Newspapers, and African American Newspapers.
• Current editions (available in the past 3-6 months) are often available in online collections, such as Access World News, Nexis Uni and Factiva.
